Postcard

I journeyed obliquely, this peninsula to you. Then a beach towel Dixie Crystal trot and you shine in the cerulean. St. Pete Beach: horizon white, turquoise.

Lush water-shins wading, your smile, your sandy bikini bottom compliments your sunshine flaxen hair. The delicate limbs, shuffling for rays, sweating limes, soft emerald ecstasy. That aquamarine smile, life as it should be.

Night falls. Blue strand rendezvous in the evening seaside starlight. Giddy over square pizzas before the Cinderella liberty of youth. And later, amorous affections, two intertwined. Dawn brought linen mornings, endearing coffees above palms. Shoe gazing.

Sunlight hushes, morning dew whispers.

Your hand in mine
